Güzel Sanatlar Matbaası A.Ş., which is one of the oldest printing houses in Turkey, has always been first in its area since 1942. Our printing house which contributes to the firsts of our country in previous centuries by printing the first color separation device, the first National Lottery ticket, the first Republican stamp, the share certificates, today won 2002 Sappi Contest of Annual Printing House and the Top of the European General Category.
Güzel Sanatlar Matbaası A.Ş., which is the market leader in printing share certificates, bonds and checkbooks, produces any kinds of commercial printed materials such as monthly magazine, book, catalogue, and brochure in its closed-air premises of 6000 square meters using the state-of-the-art as well as manufacturing card board packs in a separate department that was built in 2006.
Ali Rıza Baskan, the founder of our printing house worked as the Science Director in State Printing House after he received education about printing in Vienna. Later on, Baskan went to Vienna to learn the printing techniques of bank-note and he made efforts to establish a Printing House for Bank-notes of Central Bank. Ali Rıza Baskan, who is known in Turkey as the person who introduced the offset technique, established his own business in Ankara in 1942, which was called Güzel Sanatlar Matbaası. The Company, under the leadership of Ergun Baskan, built premises in İstanbul Cağaloğlu and Yenibosna successively in 1967.
The printing House, which experienced important leaps under the leadership of Ergun Baskan, is administrated by Dilara Baskan and Namık Baskan today, who are the third generation of the family.
